AERCO offers a wide range of high-quality onsite and online training courses to enable you to represent AERCO to the best possible extent and deliver maximum value to your customers.

Our hands-on, in-person courses take place at our Watts factory facility in Blauvelt, NY, the home of AERCO. The courses are designed to provide practical skills that you can apply right away and is comprised of a blend of classroom and hands-on instruction to cover the topic in depth.

On our online learning management system platform, Watts Works (LMS), technicians can keep skills and certifications up to date through e-learning courses, videos and other helpful tools.

AERCO Trained Technician (ATT)

The AERCO Trained Technician (ATT) course is a four-day on-site factory training certification course. The ATT course is comprised of modules of comprehensive classroom and hands-on instruction that cover AERCO’s boilers and water heaters in the areas of operational theory of the equipment, controllers, components, combustion calibration, startup, maintenance, communications and more.

This course is limited to 12 attendees and is only offered to service companies, contractors and AERCO sales representatives who perform start-up and continuing service on AERCO's gas-fired equipment. Attendees can go on to take the AERCO Master Technician (AMT) course to further develop their skills set.

Sustainability Handprint Energy Efficiency

Benchmark (BMK) Thousand Series Boilers

This course has been designed to familiarize the end user with the theory, operation and terminology surrounding AERCO's gas direct-fired Benchmark boilers (1000-6000 MBH). The course covers component overview and troubleshooting, maintenance, control systems, and combustion calibration.

The class is 60% classroom training and 40% hands-on in the lab. Students will rotate in small groups through several workstations, reinforcing in a hands-on format the topics presented. Students attending this course will receive a Certificate of Completion. This course does not carry any certification.

Legacy Benchmark and KC1000

This course has been designed to familiarize the end user with the theory, operation and terminology surrounding AERCO direct-fired Benchmark legacy boilers such as the 1.5, 2.0, and 3.0, as well as the KC1000 line of boilers and water heaters. The course covers component overview and troubleshooting, maintenance, control systems, and combustion calibration.

The class is 70% classroom training and 30% hands-on in the lab. Students will rotate in small groups through several workstations, reinforcing in a hands-on format the topics presented. Students attending this course will receive a Certificate of Completion. This course does not carry any certification.

Edge Controller for the Service Technician

This single-day, hands-on course is designed to provide the AERCO service technician with an overview of the AERCO Edge Controller. It will expose the student to all the new features and functions and familiarize them with basic screen navigation. Combustion Calibration, Boiler Sequencing Technology (BST) and Communications will also be covered, and hands-on activities in the Training Lab will build upon and reinforce the knowledge learned in the classroom earlier in the day.

AERCO Master Technician (AMT)

Building on the ATT course and the technician's prior service experience and training, AMT covers more advanced service and diagnostic procedures. Become familiar with the complete line of AERCO's current product offerings, including water-to-water and steam-to-water products, controllers, retrofitting them, water quality, contaminated combustion air, the top-10 hotline calls, onAER, AERtrim, combination plants, and modules of an advanced nature on gas-fired products.

This course builds on the technician's prior service experience and training to cover more advanced service and diagnostic procedures. The class is 70% classroom training and 30% hands-on in the lab. Students attending this course will receive a Certificate of Completion. This course does not carry any certification.
